Portrait of Woman Askew in Red Room

Portrait of Woman Askew in Red Room

About "Portrait of Woman Askew" ©2006

I resurrected "Woman Askew" from my 2003 painting by that name after it was sold, by placing her in a somewhat off kilter room in an "askew" picture fame. The clock represents both timelessness and the passage of time. The mimicking of the woman's medallion to the clock's pendulum echoes this theme.
