Dawn McLaughlin To blog or not to blog that is the... |
I have filled many journals with my thoughts, angst, and revelations about art. Where I am (often stuck), where I'm going, how I'm getting there.
I love to write -it is great therapy for an artist. But blogging? I keep resisting it. It's the thing to do if one wants an increased internet presence, or so I'm told.
But I am a private person. I am not an internet age person. I do not feel comfortable living my private thoughts in public. But beyond that, why should anyone care about my private struggles and revelations? Except to me, I think it's pretty boring stuff.
I prefer my artwork to speak for itself. It is what is unique about me. It is an expression of who I am. The rest is just process-- something for me to muddle through.
Have to confess, I just don't get the whole blogging thing. | |
